Yes, you can dig post holes BUT you cannot dig holes bigger than 12"x12" and 3' in depth (according to our land use agreement with the Bureau of Land Management). If you only need a few, it may be fastest to dig them by hand. Please reserve the removed material in a bucket or other container. Then, when you break down your piece, the dirt must be put back into the holes and compressed with water and a tamping tool (like a 4'x4' post). If you need more than a few, talk to Art Support Services to see if we can auger them for you.
