Burning Man is an all-ages event and kids and families have been part of Burning Man since the very beginning in 1986 on Baker Beach. If you are considering bringing children you should check out this playa living guide focused on Kids at Burning Man.

Anyone under 18 years old must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. Guardians should bring a signed and dated letter from one or both parents of the minor authorizing guardianship during the event.

Kids 12 years old and younger get in free but are required to have a no-cost kids ticket to enter the event. The free print-at-home kids tickets will become available on tickets.burningman.org starting at 12pm (noon) PDT, Wednesday, July 17, 2024.

Children should always have some form of identification on their person at all times at Burning Man. Our Family Unification Network (FUN) is a great way to have extra identification for your child.
