We know the distinction between Burner Profiles and ticketing accounts has been confusing in the past, so we have simplified the registration and purchase process for most 2026 Black Rock City ticket sales.

To participate in the Sunrise Sale, Main Sale, or OMG Sale, you will register directly through MyTickets at here.burningman.org. MyTickets is your ticketing account with Leap, our ticketing partner, and is separate from your Burner Profile. You do not need to create or use a Burner Profile to register for or participate in these sales.

MyTickets is where you will manage the ticketing side of your purchase. After you buy tickets, you can return to your MyTickets account to:

• View your order and ticket details
• Transfer eligible tickets to another person

Burner Profiles are still used for certain Black Rock City programs and ticketing processes, but they are no longer the primary account used for most public ticket sales.

Your Burner Profile will continue to show records associated with Ticket Aid Program and Resilience Program applications. Burner Profiles are also used during the Stewards Sale to identify group members and allocate access to tickets within participating groups.

In other words, MyTickets is your ticket purchase and order-management account, while your Burner Profile is used for specific programs, applications, and group-based ticket allocations. Depending on how you are accessing tickets, you may use one account or both.
