If you plan to make and give away food or drinks on the playa, or if you are cooking for more than 125 of your fellow campmates at once, you need a temporary food service permit from the Nevada State Health Division’s Public Health and Clinical Services Environmental Health Section. For more information about food safety on the playa, including an application for a food permit, visit https://dpbh.nv.gov/Reg/Temp-E/dta/Forms/Temporary_Food_Establishments_at_Special_Events_-_Forms/ . Look for the Man highlighting information for the Burning Man event.
2. How much fuel can we store at our theme camp?
No more than 110 gallons, or two 55 gallon drums, may be stored in a camp at one time. This does not include fuel in generators that comply with safety radius requirements. You must comply with all requirements regarding transportation of and secondary containment for stored fuel and be prepared to remediate any fuel spills that occur.
